Design
For over three decades BOSTONtec has focused its efforts on the design and manufacturing of ergonomic furniture products and solutions for industrial applications. All BOSTONtec products and private label products are designed by our experienced engineering staff, using SolidWorks® 3D modeling software. We strive for simple, practical designs that allow the maximum strength and flexibility using the minimum number of components. Proper ergonomics are always a design consideration. Most of our workstation designs are based on our time tested base frame design. This frame allows us to address new challenging applications in a variety of markets.

Throughout our facility, BOSTONtec employs the most current state-of-the-art technologies to ensure that quality is built in at every step of the manufacturing process while controlling our costs. From precision laser cutting, to forming, welding, to applying the final powder coated epoxy finish, attention to detail ensures the affordable quality of BOSTONtec furniture.

Cutting
Our two LVD2KW laser cutting cells allow an increase in capacity while improving product quality and building more flexibility into manufacturing operations. Each computer-controlled laser cell can load, cut, unload and reload unattended. This capability allows unattended operations during evenings and weekends. Replacing hard tooled stamping process with X/Y programmed lasers has resulted in improved quality across the board. The end product has safer rounded corners on edges and better product fit and finish.

Forming
With the addition of one new press brake, BOSTONtec has increased production time and quality for forming metal.

Welding
The BOSTONtec welding department employs MIG, TIG, and spot welding technologies. Short runs, specials and small projects are manually welded.

Prep/Paint/Bake
All BOSTONtec frames and accessories are finished in our powder coating line. Product moves on a conveyor from the initial high pressure washer/degreaser to the final coating and baking at 400°F.

Shipping
BOSTONtec frames are shipped assembled on a pallet. Each base is shipped with its work surface mounted, and drawers and under work surface shelving installed. Customers' on-site assembly has been reduced to a minimum, simplifying setup and reducing both the time and cost of installation.
